Reasons Some Pastors Die Young
Why Do Pastors Die At A Young Age
For The Entire Body Of Christ, It Has Been A Crying And Painful Season. Many Pastors Have Died Unnecessarily In The Last Few Weeks, Months And Years (Particularly Since 2020). Because Of The Scripture That Says, “Strike The Sheep, And The Shepherd Will Disperse,” This Has Become A Big Problem. Many Ministries Have Lost Their Pastors In Their Prime, Which Is Completely Unjustified.
I Know You’re Thinking That God Orchestrates The Death Of A Pastor Or Spiritual Leader. This Is Not The Case, As There May Be Occasional Human Errors That Result In Death.
Many Churchgoers Are Terrified As A Result Of These Deadly Recurrences. WHY WOULD GOD ALLOW MY PASTOR TO DIE Will Be Among The Questions.
5 Reasons Pastors Die Untimely
After Enough Research And Enquiry On He Causes Of The Sudden Death Of Pastors, We Collated These Six Solid Reasons Below. Every Pastor Reading This Should Ensure They Look Carefully As It Could Provide A Great Assistance And Directive On What To Do. Dear Church Members If You Are Reading This, You Also Have A Part To Play Infinitely As A Means To Support The Health And Wellbeing Of Your Pastor.
5 Reasons Pastors Die Young
1. Lack Of Rest
This Is A Serious Cause Of Death For Many People Around The World, Not Just Pastors. Preaching, Teaching, Mentoring, Learning, Counseling, Directing, Praying, Fasting, And A Variety Of Other Tasks Occupy The Time Of Pastors. Also, The Majority Of These Activities Aforementioned Are Carried Out On A Weekly Basis. This Makes It More Difficult For A Pastor To Rest When He Or She Is Sufficiently Engaged. Finding Time To Relax Is Becoming Increasingly Challenging. The Ability To Switch Off From All Activities That Cause Exhaustion, Tension, Or Stress Is Known As Rest. To Be Honest, Most Pastors Are Stressed, Yet They Do Not Take The Time To Relax When They Need To.
The Highest Display Of Wisdom Is Knowing When To Take Rest From All Activities. Its Important To Know That Your Body Will Demand Rest From You At Certain Junctions In Your Life. The Most Intriguing Thing Is That Even Non-Living Things Such As Cars, Equipment’s, And ,Machines Breakdown When Over Used. In The Same Vein, Our Bodies Will Breakdown When It Doesn’t Rest. It Becomes Expedient That Pastors Take Out Time To Rest. Archbishop Benson Idahosa Of Blessed Memory Once Said “I F YOU DON’T REST YOU MAY SOON BE LAID TO REST”

2. Lack Of Identifying Health Red-Flags
Time To Time Your Body Will Give You Certain Signs That You May Need To Shutdown Or Go For Check Ups. Many Times, Most Pastors Disregard These Signs And Use Prayer To Cover It Up. When They Get Signs Of Relief They Ignore Those Signs. The Good News Is That They Will Still Come Back. Until You Do The Right Thing. I Understand Very Well That There Could Be Some Spiritual Attacks ,But Its Necessary That The Basics Of Understanding A Body Red Flag Is Key To Living Long As A Pastor.
3. Lack Of Ministry Delegation Skill
The World Management And Administrative Systems Are Increasingly Deploying Delegation Of Duties For Effectiveness!!! Pastors And General Overseers Are Saddled With A Lot Of Responsibilities. In Acts 6:7 The Apostles Delegated The Work Of The Tables(Food And Drinks) To Men Of Honest Report, While The Apostles Focused On The Ministry Of The Word And Prayers. There Are Certain Burdens, Loads And Responsibilities A Pastor Must Be Able To Shed. No Man Can Do The Job Of Ten People. Lack Of Delegation Of Duties Have Made Pastors Carry Too Much Load, Leading To High Blood Pressure And Cardiac Arrest.

4.They Sometimes Forget That God’s Work Is bigger Than Man

5. Many Pastors Do Not Love Themselves
The Word Of God Declares That You Should Love Your Neighbor As You Love Yourself. Jesus Died For The Sins Of The Whole World, As A Pastor God Didn’t Call You To Die For The Sins Of Your Members. Jesus The Great Shepherd Has Done That Already. Sometimes, Members Don Not Care About Their Pastor, All They Do Is Want To Receive Blessings, They Do Not Ask About His Welfare. As A Pastor You Should Know That You Deserve Love.
You Can Do That For Yourself By Creating Some Boundaries Such As Cutting Down On Attending All Members Occasions, Meetings, Family Issues, E.T.C .I Have Observed That After Some Pastors Preach For Two Services, Some Members Still Queue Up To See Him. If Members Do Not Love Him, He Should At Least Love Himself By Setting Boundaries.
He Should Also Take Out Time To Have Some Period Of Short Time Vacation. This Can Help Him Take His Mind Off Work To Enable Him Re-Calibrate And Re-Strategize On Church Growth Systems If Necessary To Him. The Pastor Must Love Himself First, But With God As The Ultimate.
