When someone says, ‘I am coming for you’, there is the tendency to look at it negatively. In the context of the return of Christ, it is one of the greatest events in history that we are looking forward to. Here, the Lord Jesus tells us what will precede His return. There will be signs in the heavens, followed by the seeing of the Son of Man and the sending of the angels. This passage tells us that the Lord is coming back in the midst of chaos but in power and glory, and for His own! Not one of His Elect on any point upon earth will be missed. He will overpower Satan and his demons.

Knowing that Jesus is coming back, and for His Elect, should create the longing for His coming in your heart and spur you to get ready for Him. When life treats you unfairly, remember that it will not be long and Jesus will come to administer justice upon the corrupt, the wicked and the evil. Those who don’t know God through Christ alone will be justly judged. What matters is ensuring that Christ is in you, that is, if you are born again. Is He in your life? Are you born again? If not, come to Him now. Remember He is coming for you.
