19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

We have learnt about the causes of disunity and some of its negative effects. Today, we will consider the fruits of unity.
The first fruit of unity is that it makes it possible for people to work together for a common goal. Amos 3:3 says, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Marriage, career, ministry, friendship, partnership and collaborations will not yield the right dividend if the partners involved are not united in purpose and going in the same direction. Matthew 18:19-20 further underscores an important benefit of unity, “Where two or three are gathered in my name, There I am in the midst of them.” It shows that the Lord loves and encourages unity among the brethren.
