The wonders of the blood of Jesus cannot be over-emphasised. By virtue of this precious blood, a believer is able to come close to God. Sin distances man from God’s presence, grace and blessing. However, the shed blood of Jesus has nigh-making power – that is, the power to draw us close to God. Ephesians 2:13 says, “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” Another wonderful thing that the blood of Jesus does is that it cleanses believers.
The Bible admonishes us to distance ourselves from the uncleanness of the spirit, soul and body.
