ABOUT AUTHOR
Richard Duane Warren was born on the 28th of January, 1954 in San Jose, California to Mr Jimmy and Mrs Dot Warren. He grew up in Ukiah, California. In 1972, he graduated from Ukiah High School. He obtained his BA’s degree from California Baptist University, Master’s Degree (Master of Divinity) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas and a Doctor’s degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in California.

At age 19, he was called into full-time ministry at California Baptist University. In 1980, he formed a Bible study group in Orange County, California. Rick Warren is the founder and senior pastor of Saddleback Church. They held their first service in April 1980 at Laguna Hills High School with an attendance of 200 people.

The Saddleback church is currently located in Lake Forest California. Every week, there is always a turnout of more than 20,000 people. Rick Warren got married to Kay Warren on the 21st of July, 1975. Their union is blessed with three children.
