DEVOTION SCRIPTURE: Psalm 48:9 (NIV)

Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.

Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.

MESSAGE

We often hear that God loves us, but ask yourself if you truly believe it and if you’re taking time to meditate on His love. The love of God is what casts out fear (see 1 John 4:18). If we know that God loves us, then we know He will take care of us and meet our needs.

Today’s scripture speaks of meditating within His temple on His unfailing love. Remember you are the temple of God. First Corinthians 3:16 (NIV) says, Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?

We can and should think throughout each day about how much God loves us. Some people might view that as prideful, but God’s Word tells us to do it. The Bible says that we know and rely on the love God has for us:
