MFM DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE FOR TODAY
Discernment is a spiritual gift but it is also a characteristic of mature Christians and champions in the kingdom of God. It enables us to discem spirits and to distinguish between good and evil, truth and falsehood. As Christians, we should covet, develop and exercise this gift. Paul affirms that spiritual babes or immature Christians cannot discern spiritual things. Your ability to discern is a proof that you are growing in the Lord and it will save you from avoidable and needless pain in life.
The Holy Spirit gives us a disceming mind to help us distinguish between the truth and falsehood. Hebrews 5:14 says, “But the strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern between good and evil.” Discemment is a decision making process by which an individual makes a discovery that can lead to a future action. In the process of spiritual discernment, God guides an individual to help him or her arrive at the best decision.
The inability to discern good from evil and truth from falsehood has made many Christians to many wrong spouses, venture into wrong businesses, associate with wrong people and keep wrong companies, reveal their secret to their enemies, see their enemies as their friends, take and live in wrong accommodation, enter into wrong contracts and investments and so on. All these have led to loss of huge amount of money and other resources, including life-changing opportunities.

Many people are still struggling to get out of the hole and mess that lack of spiritual discernment has put them. However, I have good news for you. Give your life to Jesus Christ. Make Him your Lord and Saviour. Call upon Him: He will save you to the uttermost. Become a friend of the Holy Spirit and He will give you the gift of discernment and many other spiritual gifts to do God’s work effortless and efficiently.
MORNING
1. Spirit of discemment, enter into my life, in the name of Jesus.
2. Power assigned against my discerning ability, die, in the name of Jesus.
3.Anything in my life hindering me from discerning good from evil, come out and die, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Holy Spirit, endow me with the gift of discernment, in the name of Jesus.
5. Satanic prophecy shall not manifest in my life, in the name of Jesus.
6. O Lord, open my eyes to behold Your glory, in the name of Jesus.
7. My vision shall not go dim, in the name of Jesus.
