The Scripture makes it clear that it is the Will of God for His children to live in wealth and abundance (Zechariah 1:17).
Now, one key to supernatural abundance and prosperity is refusal to spend everything or the avoidance of waste.
Proverbs 21:20 says:

It is foolishness to spend everything. A foolish man spends everything. What enters his hands dies before he can recognise it. In our local or native language, the literal translation of spending money is killing money.
There are many people who “kill” money before it enters their hands; and poverty is the outcome of perpetual wasters of money.
In John 6, Jesus saw that the people were filled, He told His disciples to gather up the fragments that remained so that nothing was lost or wasted.

It is very important to know that when they gathered the fragments, they got twelve baskets of fragments or leftovers.
The lesson is, inside what is wasting is your wealth. Wealth is inside the waste. It has been confirmed that money runs from those who waste it and flows into the hands of those who manage it well.
There is a principle of financial intelligence that says, “Pay yourself first”. When money enters your hand, after you have paid God, the next person to pay is yourself.
Pay yourself before you pay the shoe maker, landlord, taxi driver, hair dresser, or before you pay your light bill, water bill or purchase anything from the market. And pay yourself means, set something aside for yourself that you can possibly invest later to bring in more money.
REMEMBER THIS: One key to supernatural abundance and prosperity is the refusal to spend everything or the avoidance of waste.
