SCRIPTURE >>>>
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. Romans 10:8.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY>>>Prayer changes people. This means we are changed into the likeness of Jesus Christ by prayer.
Seeds Of Destiny Message For Today
In the realm of the Spirit, one of the legs of a Christian stands on prayer while the other one stands on God’s Word. Just as a person physically needs to stand on his two legs in order to maintain a balanced physical posture, a Christian must stand on prayer and the Word of God in order to maintain a balanced spiritual posture. You cannot stand only on prayer at the expense of the Word of God and vice versa.
In our previous study, we saw the transforming power of prayer as one benefit of prayer. In our study today, we shall be looking at one benefit of God’s Word.

The Word of God builds faith
Romans 10:17 says,
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Every new insight raises your faith level. Light from scripture is the food of faith. Rhema is the fuel for faith. Every time you see something you have never seen before, from the Word of God, your audacity shifts to the next level. A chicken-hearted or timid Christian can be turned into a bold or lion-hearted Christian by virtue of light. The difference between the eagle and the vulture is in what they eat.

The eagle only eats fresh meat while the vulture eats rotten meat. Seeing an eagle in a vision is a great vision but dreaming of vulture is a nightmare. It is not an exciting thing to see a vulture in the dream. This is because no one likes a vulture by virtue of its looks, which is partly a product of what it eats. Both the eagle and the vulture are products of what they eat. So, you are a product of your Word intake. The Word of God builds faith.

- Embrace the discipline of studying the Word consistently.
- Determine to put to practice God’s Word. That is faith, because faith is putting the Word to practice.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for fresh grace as I discipline myself to study Your Word diligently. Open my eyes to fresh light from Your Word that will build my faith, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
