SOD TOPIC: WHY WE PRAY IN THE SPIRIT
SCRIPTURE: I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all: 1 Corinthians 14:18

Praying in the Spirit is one way to pray effectively as children of God. Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:18, I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:
To pray abundantly in the Spirit is to position oneself to hearing God. Now, what will praying in the Spirit do for you? Praying in the Spirit stirs the activities of the Holy Spirit. The action of praying in the Spirit stirs the activities of the Holy Spirit.
2 Timothy 1:6 says, Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. And of the one major activities of the Holy Spirit is to give direction. Romans 8:14 says,
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

When you pray abundantly in the Spirit, you are stirred up in the spirit. And when the Holy Spirit is stirred up, Divine guidance and direction, which is the leading of the Spirit happens easily.
When God told me it was time for Him to show me who to marry, I stirred the Spirit by praying in the Holy Ghost abundantly. And as I prayed in the Spirit, a segment of the qualities of my then wife-to-be was unfolded to me.

Then the next day, as I continued praying in the Spirit, another segment was revealed. All of a sudden, the pieces came together and I said, “Oh! Is it this person I have been trusting God to give a good husband to, that is to be my wife?” That was how it happened to me. It became clear that she was the one God had ordained to be my life partner.
REMEMBER THIS: The action of praying in the Spirit stirs the activities of the Holy Spirit.
