Topic: LIFE IS BASED ON TIME AND CHANCE
Text: Ecclesiastes 9:11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all
WISDOM DAILY DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
For some of you, when you take a critical look at where you are now, it’s either you are happy or sad, whether you are fulfilled or not, the truth is what happened to everyone it’s time and chance.
When you reflect on your school days, or you that are still in school, there are certain people in your class you always concluded that their future is certain. In other words, this one will not suffer in life. And then you look at yourself and the background that you have, and you may have also concluded that you cannot go far. But today the story is different. What happened? What caused it, the text above answers it all.
You didn’t make it this far because you are swift, strong, or wise or because you understand everything, it was God who created the time and factored in chance, thereby making you emerge as you are today. This is why we must continually depend on God because times and seasons are in His hands. I have seen men of strength, abilities, and skills, yet they are on the back side of life. Despite this many are still ungrateful. No wonder the Bible says *(Proverbs 3:5-6) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.* in other to win in life, God must be acknowledged in all your endeavours, then can time and chance work in your Favour. Glory to God.
